About the Author
Dr. Wallach has been involved in biomedical research and clinical medicine for more than 47 years. He received his BS degree (agriculture) from the University of Missouri with a major in Animal Husbandry (nutrition) and a minor in field crops and soils; a DVM (veterinary medicine) from the University of Missouri; a three year post doctoral fellowship (comparative pathology/medicine), Washington University, St Louis, Missouri-The Center for the Biology of Natural Systems (The St. Louis Zoological Gardens, Shaw's Botanical Garden)etc, the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, Portland OR; Harbin Medical University, Harbin, Hei Long Jiang and the Shanghai Medical University, People's Republic of China. Dr. Wallach was a recipient of the 1991 Wooster Beach Gold Medal Award (Association of Eclectic Physicians) for a significant breakthrough in the basic understanding of the cause and pathophysiology of Cystic Fibrosis. Dr. Wallach was nominated for the 1991 Nobel Prize in Medicine (Association of Eclectic Physicians) for his work in the understanding of the genesis and other birth defects produced by nutritional deficiencies of the embryo during pregnancy. Dr. Wallach has more than 70 peer review publications to his credit including a major reference, The Diseases of Exotic Animals-published by W.B. Saunders. This 1,000 page illustrated text is listed in the Smithsonian Institute as, "A recommended reference for all professional zoological parks and aquariums." Dr. Wallach has given an average of 300 free health lectures per year for more than 15 years, literally reaching millions of fans. His tape Dead Doctors Don't Lie (translated into eight languages) has sold more than 65 million copies worldwide.
